Senior Cost Manager - Resort Development

Our clients provide a full range of construction and management consultancy services throughout the Middle East, supported by all the resources of a global company.
They are currently looking for a Senior Cost Manager to work on a major resort project in Morocco. Candidates must speak both fluent French and English and ideally have experience of commercial developments in North Africa.

Senior Cost Manager Job description:
-Conducting feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
-Managing estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan
-Ensuring that post-contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively
-Ensuring that cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively
-Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed
-Where appropriate, leading a cost management team, ensuring that they deliver on all of the above accountabilities
-Reporting to a Commercial Manager or Director

Senior Cost Manager Requirements:
- 10+ years cost management experience in a private practice or construction organization
- Fluent French both written and spoken – must be able to work comfortably in the language
- Detailed working knowledge of all of the main cost management concepts, tools and techniques
- Experience of leading cost management commissions for large projects (>€50m)
- Minimum requirement is a Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar field
- Chartered status with the RICS or equivalent preferred
