MASCIR (Moroccan Association of Science, Innovation and Research) is a nonprofit foundation that has been created by the Moroccan government to carry out applied research in high tech niches with the aim to creating wealth through development of new technologies. TDC-Bio (Technology Development Center of Biotechnology) Branch in MASCIR is seeking multiple senior research scientist/ research scientist positions to initiate genetic approaches in medical diagnostic studies using human samples, cultured cells and in vitro models of prevalent human diseases. Experiments will focus on validation of genomic data, identification of novel candidate diagnostic markers and molecular targets using cultured cells as well as in specimens from patients. Candidate must be an experienced Molecular Biologist with experience in genomic and functional genomics approaches.

This position requires a:
• A PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Molecular Genetic or a related discipline.
• A solid expertise and experience in molecular biology-based research as evidenced by a distinguished record of high-impact publications and/or a significant record of creativity and accomplishment
• Strong expertise in both mammalian and eukaryotic cell culture techniques are essential.
• Strong preference will be given to individuals with automation experience.
• Desirable additional skills include experience with one or more of the following areas: Baculovirus proteins expression systems, high throughput screening (HTS) methodology and multiplex gene expression microarrays for diagnostic of monogenic or/and multi-factorial diseases.
• The candidate must be highly motivated and creative with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and computer skills are also vital for success.
