Role Summary/Purpose
For our department Sales we are looking for a Area Sales Manager – North / Francophone Africa (m/f)
Essential Responsibilities
Your responsibilities:
Sell and promote all GE Jenbacher gas engine products in Northern / Francophone Africa
Interface with distributor/ sales representative to extend local market presence
Interface directly with the customer base in the region (incl. presentations, trades & fairs, conferences)
Develop, coordinate and conduct growth activities for the region
Develop existing customers and generate new potential (key) customers, utilize the GE network
Identify and evaluate the customers’ project needs and specifications and provide them with technical and commercial support on the Jenbacher products
Develop, recommend and support go-to-market strategy decisions and growth-ideas
Review requests for proposals, prepare standard offers, coordinate with the commercial operations team the preparation of non-standard offers and offers based on tenders
Operational responsibility for the units order process, margin and other relevant business metrics
Support customers in developing competitive, project analysis and feasibility studies
The position requires working as part of a team and in particular working closely with GE Energy and Jenbacher internal Sales, Marketing, Service, Commercial Operations, Commercial Finance and Project Management teams
Report to Regional Sales Leader for Jenbacher in HQ as well as dotted line to Region Sales Organization

Qualifications/Requirements
Your qualifications:
Technical and Commercial educational background
Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant sales experience in the energy market, preferably also with distributors and sales representatives
Proven strategic skills to ensure growth and at the same time hands-on mentality in execution
Strong customer orientation and external focus
Very good communication and negotiation skills (oral & written)
Team spirit
High level of Integrity
Good analytical skills
Knowledge of the local market and culture
Fluent in English and French, preferably also in Arabic
